Vote now for annual sports awards

The initiative, managed by Littlehampton Sports Forum and the town council, is aimed at recognising the achievements and contributions made by local sporting heroes and community champions.

Anyone from junior to senior, team and individual, as well as off-pitch heroes, can be put forward for an award and there are ten categories to choose from.

The categories are sportsperson of the year; young sportsperson; coach of the year; sports team of the year, as sponsored by Littlehampton Gazette; youth sports team of the year; administrator of the year; contribution to youth sports; contribution to disabled sports; unsung hero and lifetime contribution to sport.

The closing date for nominations is August 29 and they will then be considered by a judging panel, before the winners will be announced at an invitation-only awards ceremony on October 6 at the Coco Lounge.

Nominations can be made online at www.littlehampton-tc.gov.uk or forms can be picked up from the town council offices.
