GOLDS MAKE IT TWO IN A ROW

A CONFIDENT Littlehampton picked up their second victory on the trot and stretched their unbeaten run to four matches after a positive first-half performance saw off the challenge of fellow strugglers Peacehaven at The Sportsfield on Saturday.

Having completed their first success all season last week at home to Ringmer, they proved that was no fluke by playing fast-paced, confident football that blew Peacehaven away on a breezy afternoon.

Golds were into their stride very quickly and Jan Miller had missed two openings in the first 10 minutes, having been set up by first Ryan Gayler and then Steve Davies.

Not that they had it all their own way. Golds were handed a warning note on the quarter-hour when Ali Nasser broke the offside trap, but his finish couldn't match his timing.
