Ben is on course for three major titles after winning Haywards Heath Golc Club Championship

Ben Arnold with a morning round of 68, which included 5 birdies, led the field after the first round of the Club championship.

His nearest contenders Nigel Curtis and Sam Galbraith were some eight shots back. Ben managed to hold onto his lead despite a triple bogey on the 16th hole, and finished with a 79 gross in the afternoon. David Jeyes with rounds of 78 in the morning and 76 in the afternoon just pipped Sam Galbraith for 2nd place.

David won the handicap competition with an overall score of 136 nett , beating Greg Hollis by one shot. Having already won the spring meeting and with the autumn meeting to come, Ben is on course to win all three major competitions. This will give him a unique position in the clubs history.
