Top award for golf club

GolfMark is a national scheme that identifies and recognises junior and beginner-friendly facilities, and the club has been successfully assessed in the three key areas of coaching and playing, club environment (including sports equity and ethics), and child protection & duty of care.

GolfMark facilities also automatically receive the ClubMark award which is Sport England’s standard for high quality sports clubs.

Cooden Beach general manager Keith Wiley said: “An enormous amount of hard work went into the accreditation process and particular thanks should go to club professional Shaun Creasey, who has been key in teaching junior and players new to golf, and for promoting the national Get into Golf initiative.”
