Good performances in the Hellingly 10k from Burgess Hill Runners
With no West Sussex Fun Run League event last weekend it was left to Burgess Hill Runners club members to seek out some lower profile, but no less demanding races.
There were some good performances in the Hellingly 10k, Darryl Webb securing 9th place in a high quality field with a fast 36 mins 29 seconds, followed by Neil Grigg (28th, 39.46), Neil Dawson (49.27) and Nick Dawson (55.35). Further afield, Jon Boxall took the opportunity of racing the exceptionally hilly Truro Half Marathon whilst in Cornwall, finishing in an excellent 1.37.12. Finally, a couple of members made their way over to Firle for the Raw Energy Pursuits series of races, Ross Wiggins completing the half marathon in 1.45.31, and Stuart Anderson the 10km event in 51.47.
