Professional golfer Michael Farrier-Twist has gained his playing rights on the 2014 PGA EuroPro Tour.
The Sedlescombe Golf Club talent came tied 81st in the Final Qualifying School at the end of last week and receives category 12 membership of the satellite circuit for the coming season.
In a strong field of 240 players from Europe, North America, Asia and Australia, Farrier-Twist completed the three rounds at Frilford Heath GC in Oxfordshire with a three-over-par total of 219.
The left-hander began with a very good three-under-par 69 on the Red Course containing six birdies. He followed that with a one-over 73 on the Blue Course featuring three birdies, ensuring he made the 36-hole cut and thereby earning his tour card for the coming season. The 22-year-old closed with a 77, again on the Blue Course, with two birdies.
Farrier-Twist booked his place at the Final Qualifying School by coming tied 22nd in the Qualifying School Stage One event at Woldingham GC a week previously with rounds of 73 and 71 for a two-over total of 144.
The PGA EuroPro Tour is televised on Sky Sports and boasts a first prize of £10,000 per tournament. Farrier-Twist would like to thank his sponsor Penta Foods Ltd, Sedlescombe Golf Club and the James Andrews School of Golf for all their support.
