New consortium 'wants to buy Rooks'

A CONSORTIUM has been formed with the intention of buying Lewes Football Club, according to rumours.

An unofficial Rooks forum is rife with talk that a group wishes to buy the Dripping Pan outfit - just a fortnight after Kevin Keehan was installed as manager to replace Steve King as manager.

It is believed that, if successful, the new consortium would reinstate King and assistant manager Justin Skinner as management duo.

The sensational rumours come just weeks after King was replaced and a Brighton-based 'sponsorship consortium' was installed, with Keehan their preferred replacement for King.
