Park quartet reach bowls nationals
A MIXED four from Egerton Park is off to the National Bowls Championships at Northampton after winning a tense zone final at Wealden.
The quartet of Jean Noble, Marion Boswell, Steve Boswell and Robin Boswell edged home 20-17 in a see-saw encounter against an Adur team of Sandra Godfrey, Jean Bridle, Christopher Rose and John Godfrey. Noble said: "It was a very hard game, especially as both teams were playing on a neutral green."
The Park team have still to be told who they will be playing at the nationals but know they will be in action on Sunday February 22.
