Tournament hailed the best for years

THE Bexhill Badminton Tournament has been hailed as the best for years.

The popular annual event reached a thrilling conclusion on Sunday with the third and final weekend of finals.

Organiser Brian Hobden said: "It was absolutely brilliant. It was probably the best one we've had for a number of years."

The tournament featured more than 250 competitors who produced some outstanding matches including the flagship event - the men's singles open.

Richard Pringle claimed the title with a high quality 15-6, 10-15, 15-10 win over Ollie Smith.
