Your views as Bognor's bosses depart

Here's what the fans are saying as they come to terms with the news Mick Jrnkins and Andy Awford have stepped down at Nyewood Lane.

* I'm gutted that Jenks and Awfs have gone. They were genuine, honest and decent people who did their best under extremely difficult crcumstances. If they can manage at Bognor they can manage anywhere. When they started we had no team and they had to put it together from scratch. We had only just got on our feet when the clubhouse burnt down, a real kick in the teeth. We have been compensating for this ever since but we have never really adjusted.

Although they had 2 adverse results between the 5-1s we were leading Havant 2-0 until late on. I hope it is this fighting spirit that they remember. They have carried the club through some of its worse times and for that I'm extremely grateful. Mick and Andy I salute you and wish you luck in the future. Thanks for all your hard work at Bognor.

Dabba definately deserves to be holding the fort for the rest of the season in my opinion as he has earned the right to move up the ranks. He is also passionate about this club's success, so I'm all for Dabba taking over!

It is always sad to see the resignation of football managers. However, in this case, after consecutive 5 - 1 home defeats and only one home win this season, it was inevitable that they had to go. I acknowledge that times are difficult, given the financial situation, but in my view the management wrongly decided to assemble a team to play the long ball game. In this they failed and it was not pretty to watch. Additionally, football is a TEAM game where team spirit is all important and at no time was the team ever settled, giving little chance for the squad to gel together.

The playing surface at Nywood Lane is recognised as the best in the whole of the Conference and ideally suited for the passing game that would be much more pleasurable to watch. Assembling a team with this in mind would surely optimise home advantage - winning home games is always the bedrock of any campaign.

As a loyal supporter, missing only a handful of game over the last 5 years and travelling a round trip of over 40 miles for each, I hope that any new management will bear these points in mind.

There are many difficult challenges ahead but let us draw a line under the recent past, pick up the peices and move on.

With all good luck to the committee and incoming management.
