New survey reveals the “ultimate housework playlist”

Spokeswoman Louise Fraser said: “Wren Kitchens have compiled data from across Spotify on the ultimate house cleaning and cooking playlists, so you never have to face those household chores without some strong background beats.

“Mary Poppins says a spoon full of sugar helps the medicine go down, and we all know cooking and cleaning can sometimes be tough pills to swallow. Some sweet tunes are often needed to get you through, but which songs are the best for doing that much needed housework?

“Dolly Parton’s 9 to 5 is the ultimate cleaning song, followed by Mark Ronson’s Uptown Funk. Walking on Sunshine by Katrina and the Waves takes the third spot, and Ed Sheeran is the most popular artist.”
