Toast the festive spirit with two shows – both full of seasonal classic songs, tunes and more – with Raymond Gubbay Ltd promoted A Dickensian Christmas & Candlelit Carols, at London’s Cadogan Hall.

A Dickensian Christmas. with Hilary Davan Wetton conducting the London Concert Brass, will feature favourite carols and readings from Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol, which encapsulates the magic of the season, with its themes of redemption, generosity, family and the joy of giving.

Its depiction of Victorian traditions and enduring messages of goodwill have helped shape the way Christmas is celebrated in the UK to this day.

A Raymond Gubbay Ltd event, the show will celebrate composers, including Cullen, Willcocks, Wood, Holst and Grubber, with performances of Joy to the World, Sussex Carol, I Saw Three Ships, Ding Dong Merrily on High, In the Bleak Midwinter and Silent Night.

There will be carols including God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen, Good king Wenceslas, O Come All Ye Faithful, O come, O come Emmanuel, plus Hark! The Herald Angels Sing.

Candlelit Carols is a sublime concert of classic carols, staged in an evocative candle-lit style setting.

Conductor Steven Devine, soprano Harriet Eyley and reader Mark Williams will perform alongside the Mozart Festival Orchestra.

It features Hark the Herald Angels Sing, O Come, all ye Faithful, O Little Town of Bethlehem, Once in Royal David's City and Good King Wenceslas.

The show will also celebrate the work of Handel, Willcocks, Bach and more with performances of Joy To The World, Christmas sequence from Messiah, Eternal Source Of Light Devine, Deck The Hall and Air On The G-string.
