And two of the greatest film composers of all time will be celebrated when The Music of Zimmer vs. Williams comes to The Brighton Centre on Saturday, Nov 11, 2023, 7.30pm.

It features the stirring orchestral work, loved by millions of film fans around the world, of legendary composers Hans Zimmer and John Williams including music from Gladiator, Superman, Harry Potter, Inception, Jurassic Park, The Dark Knight Rises, Pirates of the Caribbean, Star Wars, The Da Vinci Code, Indiana Jones, E.T. and many more.

The 75-piece London Concert Orchestra will perform the epic scores, performed alongside a stunning choir and set to a mesmerising laser show.

Promoted by Raymond Gubbay the touring concert has already been seen by more than 125,000 people across the UK and is now coming to Brighton for the very first time

In the world of film music, composers Zimmer and Williams stand out.

German born Zimmer, aged 65, who has won two Oscars and four Grammys, often uses modern synthesisers and samples, plus live instruments, from electric guitars to strings and brass, to create a unique and dynamic sound.

American composer Williams, 91, who uses a full orchestra for epic, sweeping scores, has a seven decades career picking up five Academy Awards – with 53 Oscar nominations, the second most-nominated individual ever, after Walt Disney. He also has 25 Grammy Awards, seven BAFTAs and four Golden Globe Awards.

Between them they have composed some of the most popular, recognisable and critically acclaimed film scores in cinematic history.and their works have become iconic in their own right.

Zimmer's music often has a dark, brooding atmosphere that works to enhance the tension of the film. He is highly acclaimed for his work on films such as The Dark Knight, Gladiator, and Inception

Williams has created immersive, emotionally charged soundtracks on blockbusters like Star Wars, E.T., and Jurassic Park.

His music is lush and romantic, with soaring melodies, heart-pounding action sequences and his signature use of brass and strings.

No matter which composer you prefer, there's no denying that both Zimmer and Williams have brought some of the most timeless film scores to the big screen and their works will continue to be enjoyed by generations to come.
