The Big Green Cardigan less than a month away... this local festival - small, friendly and relaxed, and deep in the Sussex countryside - is as far removed from huge impersonal events as you could imagine, and this year boasts an eclectic line-up.
The Big Green Cardigan is from September 4-6 and takes place in beautiful grounds near Cripps Corner, just up from Sedlescombe but near Hastings, Rye, and Battle.
This could well be the final festival of the season for many but promises to be the most chilled, friendly event of the calendar. It is an over 18’s festival too - so could well be one for parents after a busy summer holiday session.
Apart from locally sourced food and drink and a wide range of refreshments, there will be entertainment with blues, flamenco, swing-jazz, american folk, to banjo playing, tap dancing and so much more.
Bands playing include Eddie & The Hot Rods, Le Trio Perdu, Funke and the Two Tone Baby, Darren Eve and Nikos Mistakidis, The Cajun Dawgs and Spikedrivers. For bands, information and to buy tickets, starting at £25, go to www.biggreencardigan.com
