Durrington Theatrical Society are promising to pack this year’s pantomime Hansel and Gretel with all their usual gusto and laughs to get you into the Christmas spirit.

Director Julie Jordan said: “Dame Peggy Pumpernickel (Mark Barnes) will be inviting you all to join in whilst the devious Nightshade (Abbe Jo Gray) will be trying to tempt Hansel (Lewis Howard) and Gretel (Posy Kirwin) with all manner of tempting treats. As if this wasn’t enough to tempt you, you will also be treated to a gypsy party, singing lumberjacks, spooky skeletons, nasty crows and a rousing circus along with the traditional community song, giving you all the chance to join in with the fun. Having won the NODA award for excellence for their last year’s pantomime they are hoping for the same this year.”

The cast includes Nightshade – Abbe Jo Gray, Hansel – Lewis Howard and Gretel – Posy Kirwin.

“We are an amateur theatre company with around 60 members, young and old and we strive to produce three great shows throughout the year.
