A girl's design to be worn by Chailey Bonfire members
Chailey Bonfire Society held a competition to design their membership badge which reflected the meaning of bonfire night for 2018-2019.
Eden Ward’s design was a chosen by the Bonfire committee.
In recognition of winning, Eden was presented with a certificate of recognition by Chailey bonfire chairman Chris Farrow at the bonfire members Badge Night.

Hide AdEden’s design has been made into a badge and will be worn by Chailey Bonfire members throughout the bonfire season, as well as being featured on the front cover of this year’s Programme.
The Chailey and Newick brownie will join the bonfire society as a special guest at their bonfire celebrations, and shall commence proceedings by pressing the red button.
Chailey Bonfire Celebrations will be held on Saturday November 10.
The procession leaves Chailey secondary school at 6pm, stopping at the Memorial on the green for a short service.

Hide AdIt will then return to the Fire Site, opposite Markstakes Corner, at approximately 7.55pm.
The event is free to enter, collection buckets will be readily available and money raised will go towards paying for a Christmas Party for the senior residents of the village.
Eden entered this competition through the Brownies which aims to help girls aged seven to ten-years-old build their confidence and raise their aspirations.
It is all about learning new skills and having fun.
