Another nail in coffin
This is yet another nail in the coffin of disaster that is now our seafront.
Has anyone considered the cost of maintaining these gardens? The old grassed seafront could be kept neat and tidy with minimal effort by a man on a sit-and-ride mower. The new intricate grassed areas will need hand mowing and then edging - made even more difficult by the recent addition of fixed benches in the grass.

Who will be paying for this highly labour intensive maintenance? One answer... you and me, the rate payer, who were never consulted about this in advance.
And while I’m on the subject of paying, why, oh why, are those lights in the gardens not solar powered? We could at least have had something free and eco-friendly.
Rother’s councillors have a lot to answer for.
