Three fire crews tackle Jury’s Gap house fire

Three firefighter crews tackled a house fire in Jury’s Gap at its height this morning (December 1).

Three East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service appliances from Rye, Bexhill and Hastings were mobilised to a fire within a detached property in Lydd Road at around 10.10am.

Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus tackled the fire using one hose reel jet and main jet.

The incident has been scaled back and one crew remains at the scene, along with a fire investigator.
