A man in his 60s was '˜hit by a car' while delivering parish newsletters in Broad Oak last week.

The local man was on foot posting newsletters in the village with his wife when he was reportedly assaulted on Chitcombe Road on Thursday, July 7.

The victim was struck by the bumper of a car sometime between 10.15am and 10.45am, causing him to suffer a twisted knee, and the car drove off.

The suspect is described as a white man, aged 55-65, 5’10” - 6’, of medium build, with short grey hair and grey/brown facial stubble.

He was driving a silver car, believed to be a Vauxhall and possibly an estate model.

Witnesses or anyone may recognise the suspect is asked to email [email protected] or phone 101, quoting serial 490 of 12/7.
