Battle Neighbourhood Plan Focus Group Meetings: Selecting the main topics for wider discussion by the community in the Parish of Battle, has now been achieved. The main Steering Group will now assess the results and determine how these will be presented at roadshows and various stands in Battle, Netherfield and Telham. The residents, workers and visitors can then have their say. This is a democratic process and involvement of all concerned is the only way to make this truly representative. This column will make sure readers of this paper are kept well informed.

Battle Neighbourhood Plan Survey Form: Having received my survey in the post on Friday of last week, I urge evryone to complete and return, if at all possible, by the 29 February. The more returns that are received the more representative of our village and the wider Parish, the results will be. I do appreciate that it requires some thought and is not a “two minute job” but for my part I think it matters. We all believe things need change and improvement and this will help achieve those aims in the future. What we all have to say, matters.

Darvel Down & Area Residents Association Committee: The next meeting of the DD&ARA Committee will take place on 3 March 2016. I am sure it will be a lively affair. If anyone would like to have matters raised on their behalf then write to me at [email protected] and I will make sure they are raised.
